Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Pilio handles information when you visit the site, create an account, purchase a product, or use a tool.
Information We Handle
Depending on how you use Pilio, we may handle:
- Account and contact information: such as the email address and account identifiers used to sign in, manage your account, or contact support.
- Content you provide: uploaded files, prompts, references, settings, feedback, and other information submitted to a tool.
- Service and transaction records: tasks, generated results, asset-library records, credits usage, orders, subscriptions or passes, and payment status or identifiers received from payment providers.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device information, visited pages, feature usage, diagnostics, and security or error logs.
- Cookies and local storage: information used for sessions, preferences, security, analytics, and product continuity.
File and Asset Lifecycles
- Browser-local tools: When a tool is explicitly described as browser-local, the relevant file processing stays on your device.
- Temporary cloud processing: Ordinary uploads, document conversions, media processing results, and download packages are temporary by default. They may remain available for a limited service window and are cleaned up according to the service's configured lifecycle. Processing completion does not mean immediate physical deletion.
- Retained assets: Generated images and videos, asset-library items, and reference files explicitly saved for reuse may be retained so that an account holder can view or reuse them later. They follow a different lifecycle from temporary conversion files.
- Deletion and archiving: Archiving or deleting an asset removes it from the active product view first. Related records and stored objects may be removed later after reference checks and asynchronous cleanup. Shared or still-referenced files may be retained until those references no longer require them.
The product interface may provide more specific lifecycle information for a particular feature. We do not use one retention promise for every tool or file type.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and operate the service, authenticate users, process tasks and purchases, maintain account and asset history, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve Pilio.
Service Providers and Disclosure
We may share information with service providers when necessary to operate Pilio, such as hosting and storage providers, AI or media-processing providers, authentication and email services, payment processors, analytics, and error-monitoring services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or with your direction or consent.
Information may be processed in locations where Pilio and its service providers operate. We do not make a single storage-region commitment for every category of data in this policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the service, including protected network transport where applicable and access controls. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Requests
You can manage some account, subscription, asset, cookie, and browser-storage choices through the product or your browser. Depending on applicable law, you may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information, or object to or restrict certain processing. We will handle verified requests as required by applicable law and may retain information when needed for security, fraud prevention, transaction records, dispute handling, or other legal obligations.
Children
Pilio is not intended for children who cannot lawfully consent to use the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required authorization, contact us.
Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will publish the updated version and revise the date above; additional notice will be provided when required by applicable law.
