  2. Upload a still, and it starts moving

The first frame sets the look; your prompt sets the motion

  3. Pin where the shot lands

FLUX 3 Max FAQ

What is FLUX 3 Max?

A faster version of Black Forest Labs' FLUX 3 Video, post-trained by fal. It keeps FLUX 3's video with native audio and cuts the wait from minutes to seconds.

Is FLUX 3 Max the same as FLUX.2 Max?

No. FLUX.2 Max is an image model; FLUX 3 Max makes videos.

How fast is it on Pilio?

fal measures about 12 seconds for a 10-second 720p clip. On Pilio, upload and delivery add some time; our 10-second 1080p test came back in about 50 seconds.

How long and how sharp can the videos be?

5 to 20 seconds, at 720p or 1080p.

Can I use FLUX 3 Max for free?

New accounts get a few free credits, but not enough for FLUX 3 Max: a clip starts at about 198 credits (5 seconds at 720p), so you will need a credit pack or plan. The exact cost is shown before you submit.

Does it generate sound?

Yes. Every FLUX 3 Max clip on Pilio comes with native audio generated alongside the picture, at no extra credit cost.

Can I use reference images or keyframes?

Not with FLUX 3 Max on Pilio. You can set a first frame and an optional last frame; for character references, use Seedance 2.5 or MiniMax H3.

FLUX 3 Max or Seedance 2.5: which should I use?

Seedance 2.5 runs up to 30 seconds and takes many references. For text or first-frame clips up to 20 seconds, FLUX 3 Max scores the same on blind votes and finishes far sooner.

Is FLUX 3 Max open source?

No. Its weights are not public. Black Forest Labs says an open FLUX 3 Dev model is coming, with no date yet.

Can I use the videos commercially?

It depends on the current model license, Pilio's terms and your rights to what you upload. Review the applicable terms before publishing.
